StudentRND is a new haven for fine art

StudentRND is known for being a center for science and technology but did you know that we also have a taste for fine art?

On August 19, 2010 at approximately 3 PM, StudentRND paved the way (not really) for high quality 3D printing as demonstrated by a near perfect replica of the famous Michelangelo’s David. Note the detailed intricacies on his face, his rock hard six pack abs and his long flowing hair.

Perhaps something that is easy to overlook at first is the modern spin StudentRND has put on fine art. Take a closer look at this statue and see if you can pinpoint the slight modification StudentRND has made to this statue. Still don’t see it?

Take a closer look at David’s left arm. That’s right! To the trained eye, you can certainly tell that his arm is lowered about an inch (in scale) than the original David. This corrects the original error by Michelangelo when originally sculpting this to proportions. Also, to promote racial equality, we have made David black.

If you would like to purchase this sculpture, it will be on sale for the low price of $3,999.99. Please contact Edward Jiang for more details.
